The Cleveland Browns Bus was an idea concocted back in 2006 by Tim, "The Tech Guru," and Jay, "The Old Man." After a visit to an Ohio State Buckeye's game back in 2006, they knew they had a mission to fulfill which was to design and develop their ultimate tailgating machine!
Two weeks later Jay surprised Tim with the purchase of an old yellow short bus. Without wasting a day they stripped the seats from the bus, added cabinets, installed a stereo, and hooked up a TV. No more having to scoot 6 vehicles down the highway to the stadium every Sunday.
Over the next 2 years the bus received the signature brown and orange color on the outside complete with a free hand drawing of a dawg, provided by a Cleveland Browns Bus Tailgater/artist, Matt. Now, they are the kings of their parking lot with their group expanding to over 50 tailgaters, up from its original 15!
You defintely can't blame the folks that come to party. Tim sets up a Satellite TV, Xbox, and a 200 watt stereo hooked up to a laptop with over 400 songs for their enjoyment. When you go home after the game and want to relive (or remember) the party you can log onto www.clevelandbrownsbus.com . Photos are uploaded live from the party!
The Cleveland Browns Bus constantly brings out new dishes at the games for its loyal fans with the favorite being The Sugar Grill Tenderloin. As the fall turns to winter in Cleveland, and the temperatures begin to fall, Jay and Tim will bring out their notorious drink, Apple Pie; a favorite among the tailgaters and local celebrities. All recipes created by the Tailgate Bus can be found on their website.
Jay has recently been nominated for Pro Football’s Ultimate Fan Association (www.pfufa.org), and will be traveling to Canton, Ohio in August 2009 for the induction ceremonies.
If you ever find yourself in the Cleveland area during football season, feel free to stop by and party with The Cleveland Browns Bus!
