TailgateWiki: Keeping Tailgaters Informed

With all the “wiki’s” popping up online, you knew it was only a matter of time before there was one developed on our favorite subject: tailgating. Introducing TailgateWiki.com! It was developed loosely on the concept of Wikipedia, where everyone is an expert on something. The thousands of tailgaters that flock to stadiums all across the country are experts when it comes to their local stadium, tailgating rules, traditions, and hidden hints that only those that tailgate regularly know.

TailgateWiki.com is a place to share that information to not only “pay it forward” for your fellow hometown tailgaters, but for visiting fans alike. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to follow your team on the road, and still tailgate like you were at your home stadium? Rather than spending hours of research trying to find the right information on when gates open, if you could use charcoal, or what items are banned in the parking lot, you now have a one-stop-shop, where all that information is stored. Monday Morning Wake Up Call: Utah

There is no place like home for Utah, who is now streaking at 18 straight home victories. "This is a tough place to play," Pittsburgh coach Dave Wannstedt said after his team's 27-24 overtime loss to Utah on Thursday. "It's tough coming out here." This week is going to be a great week for the Utes and a bad week for the Wannstache.

"Silent Willie" Made Debut For Rutgers Last Night

Over the last couple of years, we’ve been able to share plenty of Tailgating Rigs with you. We’ve seen owners turn old school buses into insane tailgating machines, and we’ve seen them turn RV’s into elaborate party palaces. However, we’ve never seen an old school bus get converted into a tailgating RV. Meet “Silent Willie,” an old school bus turned tailgating RV by a couple of Rutgers fans that wanted a vehicle that not only tailgated for home games, but away games as well.

SMU Mustang Trailer Takes New Shape

After speaking with Robert Mims from Imagi-Motive a few weeks ago, I realized that they are way ahead of the curve when it comes to customizing tailgating vehicles. Take for instance, the SMU Tailgating Trailer, which is their newest model. In the past, tailgate trailers have always been designed around the standard box-trailer design. This is fine, if you are using the trailer to haul around some lawn mowers or a couple of Harleys. But when you want to use a space for a particular purpose, you need to start from scratch. Imagi-Motive has decided to forgo that old boxed-in design, and construct these trailers to spec. Some of the features of the SMU Tailgating Trailer shown above include a flat screen TV, satellite dish, surround speaker system, keg tap system, cup dispenser, wet bar, and swing-out grill.

UCF's Knight Force One

With the success of Monday’s Wake Up Call, we are going to keep it moving with UCF this week, and bring out Knight Force One. They have been a game day staple since September of 2007, which coincides with the opening of the Knights’ on campus stadium, Brighthouse Networks Stadium.
